Massimo Soto is an award-winning director, writer, and producer whose work has screened internationally. His current project is Cleared, a documentary on two-time Stanley Cup champion Daniel Carcillo's recovery from a career of professional hockey violence.

Soto directs across documentary and narrative film. Wind River: Full Court Peace, on a basketball program bridging divided communities, screened as an official selection at the TCL Chinese Theatre; Below the Rise, on coastal sustainability, was an eleven-festival official selection with two wins.

Mexican-American and bilingual, Soto has shot branded films across the United States and Mexico, delivered in both English and Spanish. As an editor and shooter for USC Football he built game-day content that ran on ESPN and House of Highlights and drew millions of combined views.

He studies at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. In January 2027 he sets out on a 59-day circumnavigation across three continents to document stories across the globe.
